Faithful in All Things

Striking in her appearance, she glows like a painting of a renaissance woman. She poses as a religious figure but the items in her possession directly contradict their morals. A contemporary Renaissance inspired painting raises questions about faith and confession.

Aside from thematic aspects, this piece is an extension of the surrealist collection of paintings I focused on during my senior year in my BFA program. Throughout my process with this piece, I made every choice with intention and very close attention to detail. This is the largest portrait and most successful piece I made during my time earning my BFA.
